I went and watched that movie and Teri should have just cut off her whole family honestly. Sister slept with her bf, married him, and was rubbing it in her face, mom never intervened and said anything to the sister, family taking money from her, husband decide to quit his job to become a “musician”, then the family mad at her because she wants to sell the home to pay their moms medical bills that they aren’t helping to pay. Like she just had a whole shytty life.

As I've said on this site before, it was completely fukked up how the entire family treated Teri in that film and I didn't realize it until I got older. The majority of adult characters in that movie were completely ungrateful and dirty.

She was a biitch. She constantly shytted on her husband because she always thought she was superior. Never supported her husband's dreams and treated him like a child. He smashed Faith obviously because she was fine, but she was soft, sweet, and supportive of his dreams.

Right! Even if she was a bytch everyone she was bytchy too deserved it. Smh they would have been the same people even if she was nice.
You could make the valid argument that she did considering the fact that she footed the bill for years and covered the screw ups of her family members? Don't forget she was the one who footed the bill for Bird's business and covered for everything that Faith did to hurt Big Mama. They weren't going to be able to keep the house without her as they didn't find out about the money until later in the film.
Also don't forget that she was the one that was stuck taking Faith in as no one else wanted to do so. So it's fair to say that she would have been the one taking care of Uncle Pete as well.
