Cousins is a better QB than RG3 in Gruden's system and should start unless RG3 improves dramatically (one more seasons to go imho). Gruden runs a traditional, drop-back passing system wherein QBs are expected to make quick decisions with the football. QBs are expected to anticipate receivers and throw before clear separation. QBs are expected to read the defence and see patterns. While Cosuins doesn't have the same overall potential, he does have superior anticipation and vision to RG3. I daresay Cousins is more accura then RG3 too. His medium and deep accuracy is as good or better than RG3's in Gruden's system. Pending he cuts down on interceptions, Cousins can be a good starter in this league. Meanwhile RG3 still has much to learn. In summary, Cousins should start if and when wheels come off the RG3 train. One more year/offseason.
