I haven’t used a cover letter in I don’t know how long. When I get to my computer I, I can upload my resume for you to see. I personally hate having multiple copies of my resume, because it’s too hard to keep up with. I have something that’s generic, yet comprehensive and keep a copy on my phone to send quickly. Trying to find the right version on the spot is too much.

A lot of companies let you import details from linked in, so I make sure that’s updated as well.

What is your bachelors in? What kind of work do you do and what do you want to do?

I have a Bachelors in English, I'm willing to do anything computer or HR related, I also love sports. I will be in a cyber boot camp next month aswell.

Have you ever looked into technical writing? From the positions I've seen, it pays good money (at least $25/hr). You could be writing anything from documentation, training material or grant proposals, if you like that kind of thing. Otherwise, I think the cyber boot camp is still a good move.

I have, the field looks lucrative but I was weary of it because I'm pursing cyber security already.

I feel you, but something you can easily integrate into your career, if you choose. There are more people willing to do the job of a cyber security analyst, than document cyber security analyst work. On a small scale you could be documenting day to day processes and on a larger scale design/edit cyber security training material. You don't have to switch gears and could be something you build out on your own as a side project. As a contractor, I start a lot of new roles, so I always document my "onboarding" process; steps to get access, files/servers I need access to, people to contact, all of that. Most companies never have something similar.

You make some good points, I think I will work towards having some Technical Writing experience and background going forward with the Cyber Security. For now though I would just like to move out of the non profit sector and get to a least a 60k job for now, I have a lot of transferable skills but I can't seem to get anything,
