man i really do hope thats not his biological daughter and just his girl daughter with another man. not saying its ok cause its still a child, but least id understand the initial instinct.

I can definitely attest to that.
I remember a few years ago, my older brother who has pits, etc.. had a big ass white pit bull named Powder. The size of this dog neck was like that of a NFL linebacker. Well one day we were at my moms house and powder snapped, got on his hind legs and lunge at my brother and was in full attack mode, my brother is a big dude, he punched the dog and caught him mid air by the neck and damn near choked the dog to death. He had small kids at the time, so he didn't wanna risk it and got the dog put down the next day.
But yes, once you get rid of the fear, a full grown man should be able to put a pit down with ease, especially if you grab them by the neck. But the elderly and small children are usually the ones they kill unfortunately. Glad that little girl is okay, don't see how he can look at himself in the mirror, if that pit wanted him, he could've climbed that car with ease.
