I remember my pops hopping in my team scrimmage in grade school and took over on my shyt, blocking me and scoring all over us. I was so heated since I was the best player and embarrassed, I just decided not to say shyt at all I tried to walk away after practice without saying shyt, and he literally with one hand on the top of my head stopped me in my tracks, turned me around, and said I better learn to be a good sport and speak.

I never tried pops again but I stayed a sore loser with my peers, and the crazy shyt is I literally got it from him

I remember getting angry and playing for HOURS straight daily trying to learn how to do moves. I cut off toys, cartoons, everything to learn how to play. Fast forward a few months I was the best SF2 player on the block. Looking back I think that was the first major accomplishment of my life

I have a similar story with games, but it was multiple

Had a big cousin who used to beat my ass in every game and sport

Was able to eventually get him back in games, not so much sports, he's still the better hooper
