Crabtree challenges Kap to study more: 'Get in those books'

Michael Crabtree, who spent six years with the 49ers, found new life across the Bay with the Oakland Raiders in 2015.
While the Silver and Black missed the postseason, it was an inspiring campaign for the 28-year-old wide receiver, who finally landed his coveted multi-year deal.
Crabtree, during Super Bowl week, joined
FOX Sports 1 to discuss his reason for leaving the 49ers, particularly his relationship with quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
"I don't like to go back to the past like that," Crabtree said Thursday. "But Kap, man, I hope he get his life together. I hope he get on the field and get in them books."

Crabtree was asked if he still communicated with any 49ers players.
"Yeah, the guys that I was cool with," he replied.
Kaepernick?
"No, I haven't talked to Kap since I left. ... But like I said, I hope he gets better. And I hope he get in those books, and watch that film, and know what he's doing out there," Crabtree added.
Crabtree on two occassions wished the best for Kaepernick, and suggested success could be found through studious habits.
But the
FS1 crew wanted to know more, inquiring about what happened after the Super Bowl -- specifically the collapse and rebuild.
"I don't know man, I wish I was there," Crabtree said. "I'm a Oakland Raider now. I don't like to touch on that. It's kind of a sensitive topic. ... Because of all the stuff we been through. How hot we were for three years. Super Bowls. NFC, I mean, I don't like to pick and see what went wrong, ya know".
