Make room for us to enter the roadway and we wouldn't have to take the initiative. But American drivers are rude so that's not going to happen. Thus, we must pull out into the roadway and assume that the cars barreling towards the trailer wish to continue living life and will adjust their speed accordingly.

Same goes for lane changes. Let us in. We will get into your lane one way or another. Why make it difficult? Be courteous and you will have far less issues with trucks.
