Crazy how since 2000, critical thinking has become devalued

Social media primarily Facebook made shyt worse with the follow, don't question what you're following mentality. I've seen many frauds and lies actually get propped up because of it. I think this forum is probably one of the few places that I've come across where critical thinking is widely accepted.

I blame social media. shyt is crazy when you really think about it. I could say 2+2=4 and another person with more influence than me could argue that nah 2+2 actually =3, and since that person has more influence then I'd be the wrong one. Its dangerous because it's getting to the point where who ever has the more followers/influence is considered fact instead of hard evidence on a major scale. My girl is on FB and the shyt she asks me when it comes to the news articles she get in there is just dumb. So much misinformation and instead of just doing proper research, people just believe it.
