The writing was on the wall when they got to sit at home all day because their job isn't 'essential'. Now those non essential jobs are being replaced by AI.

Yup, Call Centers/Tech Support are a major gigs that have been absolutely gutted by AI. Comcast has been on this wave for years now...

I actually think it may be better. Yeah some of the entry level jobs may disappear but others will emerge.

College kids will figure it out as they have already been doing for decades. If the entry level jobs dissapear, the middle and upper ones may as well disappear too since nobody but AI will have entry level experience.

There Is no future living in the past and AI is an extension of the vast internet and collection of data and the deployment of models. I’m always going to place my chips on humanity.

It definitely won’t get better without the intervention of government and policies around AI

UBI will 1000% have to be a thing. I tend to agree with some of the forecast and people saying that it has the potential to spark a 10-20% unemployment rate

There’s a potential for the wealth gap to be even crazier, where stocks and the “economy” on paper is booming yet people are unable to find jobs

This is why I kept my head down and grinded during the pandemic. I came out of it better off than when we went into the pandemic.. I had no choice because I couldn’t afford to live on what I was making. Now I’m making more, I get to travel more, I cover a lot of sports, etc. People were trippin big time with all this shyt during the pandemic … then these folk put Trump and them back in. The same people that were hating seeing you work from home and quit jobs to try and get paid off TikTok… now they’re trying to make your life a living hell.
Same.

Increased my salary 61% between the start of COVID and today.

Had been with the same company for over 10 years and enjoyed it. Job went from fully in-office to hybrid to fully remote.....and then I realized a lot of other places were built to be fully remote and paid much better.

Nose to the grindstone.

It's only hard for white collar folks right now. Blue collar folks aren't having these problems.

This is true but thats why it feel worst for everybody because now that feel the squeeze they try to pass it down to workers they may manage or support and we looking like at them like

A lot of cost cutting but if u trying to give me more work on less time im just asking whats priority cause all of it aint getting done
