Preface: I usually don't do this except with people from my family. But I'm willing to impart some knowledge after reading through the stock thread and realizing most of you aren't financially savvy at all.
Although this sounds harsh - and it's meant to - I will bring you up to speed on how to benefit from the Credit Card game.
Notes:
1. This is not going to make you rich, this is something used to get back money or rewards for purchases you would have made anyway.
2. Credit Cards should be used similar to a debit card - meaning pay it off every month and do not spend more than what you can afford. If you are not financially stable this thread probably isn't for you.
3. You may not be able to maximize the moves posted due to your financial health and it's paramount that you are healthy. With that said, start small and build you way up.
"Meat and Potatoes":
The core of this concept - which many know but may not take full advantage of - is to look at your credit card reward programs; while there is not a one-size fits all credit card for everyone you can have 2 core cards to cover 90% of your expenses to earn money/rewards. If I told you, you could make $300 - $1000 in a year on items you already buy, why wouldn't you do?
What are earning money and rewards?
Most cards nowadays have some sort of cash back incentive or rewards incentive (i.e. frequent flyer miles, hotel loyalty programs, etc etc); however, you can run yourself think spending money on department cards, airline cards, banks cards, et al. So how can you consolidate these rewards into the best incentives for yourself and which cards should you be aiming for?
It all depends on your budget and spend habits, but this is where this thread will delve into and assist in good choices to maximize your intake.
