Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Do I spend 1000 to hire a credit service to fix my credit or

Pay off my 3000 $ debt
How old is the debt and who is it to?

I'd say don't pay shyt.

Dispute it to see if it drops off, if it doesn't and it's really old, let it ride.

If it doesn't and it's fairly new, get a settlement amount from them in writing and pay that and keep that forever cause you're gonna be asked about it in the future.

I'd call the company and settle the amount, just so you can be rid of it. Just because it drops off your credit doesn't mean it won't be a bother again, but don't give them anything close to $3k, hell $1k either.

"A statute of limitations is a law that specifies a period of time during which legal action can be taken. For example, if you live in Washington, D.C., a debt collector has only three years to sue you for delinquent debts."

I also have about $3k that needs to be dealt with. Is there any advantage to paying the full amount vs settling? They already sold it to another company, but I heard that it's better to pay the original creditor.

Thanks. I'll look into that.

You should flip this shyt, and sue the Collections company, just find out if their licenses and bonded to operate on yours state, or trying to collect on a debt via fraudulent means.

Take it small claims court and get judgement against the company.

Don’t “settle for less than full balance” that shyt will appear as a negative item on your report for 7 years. Just let it drop if it’s bad close to it or pay it off.

unless you start sellin dope to pay that shyt off, moved the debt to a 0% interest credit card man. don't pay nobody shyt. and when that promotion expires, open up another credit account 0% interest and move that shyt over. I have 2500 in credit card debt, I cut my cards up 2 weeks back. im done
