The unhinged man wanted for a series of random bias attacks against Asian women in Manhattan struck has again, officials said Tuesday.
The lanky, baby-faced bruiser resurfaced and struck a 41-year-old woman in the face with a hard object wrapped in a plastic bag after confronting her on Mulberry St. near Worth St. in Chinatown at 4 p.m. Monday, police said.
The woman told police that the suspect had asked her if he could get his shirts dry cleaned nearby, officials said.
She ignored him and he walked off, only to return with a vengeance a few minutes later.
The NYPD released this new image that purportedly shows a man who has been assaulting Asian women in various parts of Manhattan.
The blow left the woman with a gash on her face, police said. She was treated at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital and later released, police said.
The assailant, who was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue and white-striped shirt and a white necklace, is wanted for three similar assaults — all against Asian women, officials said.
His rampage began on Grand St. in SoHo when he attacked a 35-year-old woman about 4:15 p.m. Wednesday after trying to strike up a conversation with her.
