Do you have a movie that is a classic to you personally, but other people think is stupid/wack?

I'm watching Journey to the Center of the Earth w/ Branden Frasier and I gotta say, when I saw this in theaters it made me feel like a kid again.
I had tears in my eyes by the end
Most people thought it was just dumb though.

I know it's no Godfather but I liked it a lot.


The Last Samurai is a masterpiece to me and my friend, too.
People like to rip off that Paul Mooney joke about Tom Cruise being the last samurai, but that's not what the movie is actually about guys :goatshrug:

People never liked I am legend (I think they hate the ending), but I love that film.

Though the woman knowing who ziggy Marley is, but not bob is the most far fetched part if the movie.

I AM LEGEND is an excellent movie up.until the ending, which is why it got hated on when it came out. They tried to make the ending an action packed version of the book, which just doesn't work. The ORIGINAL ending that they shot is MUCCCCCHHH better and makes the movie feel complete. Watch the OG ending on the DVD/Blu-ray and you'll know what I mean...


A lot of the black movies from the mid-90's got shytted on By critics but I like them. The Five Heartbeats/The Brothers/Why Do Fools Fall In Love all got shyt on by critics but are amongst my favorite movies...

I thought I Am Legend was dope aside from them low budget fukkin CGI graphics. Them shyts would have fitted in real well on Hurcules the tv show.

I always loved The Fifth Element and never understood why people shytted on it. It still doesn't make sense to me, that movie is puff from start to finish.

I enjoyed Master Of Disguise, it was some cheap humor but it was funny as hell.

I would also add Belly to the thread. Critics hated it but I loved that movie though. I understand maybe the characters didn't get developed but I already could identify a lot of the characters with people I knew so I was able to really get into the story. Plus big head Rico is one of the funniest characters ever in any gangster flick
