I feel like thats common as hell with latinos. My dad is cuban. Genetics are crazy, he's a light skinned dude with green eyes and kinky hair. His dad was a black cuban and my grandmother was taino and white cuban. I'm a brown skinned dude with curly hair. I'm the only one out of all my siblings and parents who has this hair texture. Also my grandmother's sister became Muslim. Back in the day when she'd baby-sit me I would go with her to mosque. Never met any other latino who was muslim unless they went to jail.

I went thru a period were I was trying to get into Islam and its a beautiful religion when done right, and Latinos could benefit from it the same AA did with its discipline, plus Spain was conquered by the Moors for over 800 years so most Latinos probably got some Muslim ancestors somewhere
