Cup of Noodles in the microwave

When I was a kid, I always made cup of noodles in the microwave. I damn near had world war 3 with my lady because she told me you’re supposed to pour boiling water in the cup and not microwave it with water, something about carcinogens. I looked on the package and I’ll be damned it said not to microwave. Have I cut my life expectancy down from years of microwave cup of noodles?

OT but we had asbestos in our basement as kids…we’d break pieces of it off and use it as chalk (late 70s/early 80s)…at some point my parents told us to stop playing with it…as far as I know it hasn’t affected me…but who knows…I’ve read it can take decades before shyt affects you…so don’t sweat it…if anything is gonna happen it’s too late to do a damn thing about it

My Asian coworker put me on. He told me just go to the Asian store and look for the concentrated pastes for different ramen broths and fresh ramen noodles made every morning.

Throw some paste in boiling water until it becomes the broth, season to taste, throw in the noodles and you good.



Healthier and you wouldn’t be eating prison food as a free person.

You can do either or, personally I prefer to microwave my cup of noodles becaus it's faster. Here's a tip tho, when it comes to women just cook the way she wants. Every woman wants you to cook things thier way which is why I dont cook. I cant stand cooking something when my wife around the kitchen she gone always have something to say

Yep I just took a follow up course to my professional culinary arts program last year. It was an intense which was great.

Having my Safe serv it was a great refresher to go over health sanitation and safety history and principles of Asian cuisines, knife skills , preparing, cutting and seasoning meat, seafood and various poultry.

Cooking methods like boiling ,braiding and steaming Asian soups/sauces from scratch Rice and noodles. Heck most important wok methods, seasoning your wok and storing it. , menu design , garnishes and accomplishments.

You and your lady don’t know what the fukk y’all talking about. First off we don’t get jiffy with cup of noodles. We fukking with Top Ramen. To make ramen these are the official steps.

Step 1: Get you a big ass styrofoam cup.

Step 2: Get you some hot corn chips.

Step 3: Crush the noodles up and pour them into the styrofoam cup with the seasoning.

Step 4: Turn on the shower and put hot shower water in the cup covering the noodles so they can cook.

Step 5: Take the packaging from the Ramen and put it over the cup to make a seal. Let sit for 3-4 minutes.

Step 6: Take the bag off the top of the cup. Get your bag of corn chips and crush them up and pour in the cup over the noodles.

Step 7: Be that nikka

Shes right. NEVER nuke styrofoam. Don’t even nuke plastic containers. Use glass or ceramic. Those chemicals leach into your food. I threw out all my plastics trying to avoid them altogether.

I’m surprised the FDA hasn’t done something about this.
