I tried for years to force myself to like Curren$y music. I like the production he picks but his voice and flow so redundant and boring sounding. :francis:

Him and JCole voice/flow/raps the cure for insomnia.
I think he has regressed as a rapper. It's all atmosphere and vibes, which I can appreciate, but it gets tired. Larry June does it better at this point.

Maybe I'm missing it because I don't listen to everything he puts out anymore but when's the last time he had this kind of energy on a track:

I don't think he's regressed I just think the genre he's in as a fan you'll have peaks and valleys of interest. For instance I think the song you posted sounds like dog shyt and I like more of his work post-Pilot Talk 1 but it's subjective because he hasn't really changed much except very subtly. Larry is hot right now because he's doing the same genre with a fresh approach but give it another 5-7 years and people might say the same. It's mood music. Picture it like this, some people go through stages in life where their complete stoners then drop it to the point where they smoke only occasionally. I feel like that reflects the music as well as far as being in the mood for lifestyle rap.

Still think Bruiser needs to lock in with Suga Free for some playa shyt. Its inevitable at this point.

He's regressed. It's clear to see being a long time fan and it's probably more to do with being comfortable now. Obviously you can't knock being successful but he's in the worst swing of his career and truth be told, never made it back to that 09-11 peak

When he got dropped from Young Money, went on the mixtape run, signed to Dame and dropped PT 1 & 2, he had something to prove and you could tell. Never been super lyrical but he was focused compared to the slop he's been putting out. Then Covert Coup came and that was the most dialed in he's ever been, so people thought Continuance would bring that version back out 11 years later but it didn't.

Glad to see him enjoying life but the spark is gone and it's not because of Larry

Yeah this is back around 2010 and I listened this and a few other tracks all the time from Spitta.... This was one of my faves and to me this was his peak. I am still a fan of his but the energy he had at the time seems to be missing a lot of times and he seems montone a lot of times if that makes sense? Some of his music is so laid back I listen to it while in bed trying to sleep from the itunes and let it ride and I go to sleep. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
Around this time I was really messing with his music.
