youtube got plenty of videos but a big thing is getting comfortable holding the clippers with either hand. and understanding when looking into a mirror its gonna show the reverse of what you doing. always stick with higher guards initially but also before cutting, fully examine the way your hairline is. like observe the shape and you may have to run your finger across it to get a clear idea of how to manuever the clippers. practice using the clipper visually before turning them on. measure 2-3 times, then cut. don't be in a rush.

starting off all even cuts aka caesar are easier, fades and tapers take more time and practice. also determine if you wanna go with the grain (the direction your hair grows) or against it( allows a lower cut and sometimes less chance for error). if you got waves, usually try to go with the grain to keep them flowing. anything else just PM me. good luck.

360jeezy on youtube is pretty good with the tutorials i check him out often, been cutting my own hair for the last 12 years. i use the self cut system mirror its 3 sided and can hang on the door so i can get a good view of all sides of my head not holding a mirror. it also comes with a dvd instructional with it.
