Funny you should make this thread. I have a :friend: whet this girl 3 months ago, who was talking shyt behind my back about me. He finally fessed up about it last night. I had cut him off and he was salty that I cut him off. Really I cut him off bc he and the girl are into drugs and getting drunk 247 and I'm just not into that anymore. I really don't want to be around dude anymore been tho we've been friends for years.

You have to let them know where you're heading and give them the chance to move forward with you, if they don't want to put in any effort to keep up with you then everything will figure itself out. Most of the time people who aren't about shyt will be too lazy to move forward and will stop dealing with you like that.

I never see it as cutting off - I just need to focus on my own sh*t. EVERYONE should understand the need to be dedicated to your goals/craft, and that requires a lot of time...
Or do you mean those who have offended/disrespected/bad influences? Since they're my friend, I feel you should tell them why you're leaving
e.g. 'fam, all you want to do is smoke and chill all the time - I can't be around that kinda environment' ... I always give people my thought process.
