He was never officially signed to G.O.O.D Music because earlier he’d signed a bad deal with Akon’s brother and couldn’t get out of it. He was heavily affiliated but never could release an album on the label thats why he mostly did features and ghostwrote.

His album was released on Sony and most of the features (Kanye, Push, Travis) did their verses for free based on the strength.
