You remember when Cee-Lo started w/ Goodie Mob? The heads were praising him, but what the f happened for a decade? He didn't blow like Andre, in fact he went silent for a while… you thought when he left Goodie it was just going to be a side project hiatus. But what happened is that type of energy propelled him to Grammy stage.
The tables have turned, Cee-Lo is EVERYWHERE musically, but where's Andre? He didn't want to do that. He went back into his shell and now he does features just like Cee LO did in the nineties when the public wasn't paying him any mind for a "Full length project"
Now is that going to happen w/ Cyhi? Maybe he need a unlikely collaborator, the same way that Cee Lo had. I'm not sure what the answer is for Cyhi, but BHP must be still picking up download numbers and I'm sure his management is aware of that. I will always see BHP as Cyhi's debut album, no matter what the industry says.
So a good way to think of Cyhi is he's under the radar but who knows what happens in the next few months. I do think one way of bring Cy to the public forcing them to pay attention to him, you do a Ye/Cyhi duo lp, this might make some people angry but if Hov isn't doing nothing and Ye is on his off year for a solo, who cares? Cyhi just may have the material that is going to light up the industry. Who can tell? Look at Jay Electronica and how he stayed silent for so long and then "Exhibit C"
