I dont agree with his assessment of ghost writers and hip hop, because, unlike those other artists, hip hop artists were adulated for their writing ability (first and fore most). Rappers didnt sing, play instruments, or dance (well, most didnt), but their ability to write is what they brought to the table. Along with charisma, wit, voice, flow, etc.

Im not calling you a great rapper if you dont write and especially if some one has to write it for you and show you how to rap it.

You can be an icon, great entertainer, artist or w/e.
