So Kanye made all the beats and you put your name on it
he said there was only one song Kanye wasn’t credited on and thats cause it leaked on the Nas tapesSo he did ghost produce and is still mad that ghost producing is called ghost producing
So Kanye made the beat and he just slapped his name next to Kanye’s as a “co producer”
D. Dot is 100% right though. How is he being jealous? Kanye created a narrative and ignorant people created a whole narrative of ghost production to the point of GOAT producers are dismissed. You have people that really think:
1) Dre never made beats and the guys listed as co-producers were the masterminds behind the sound
2) Making a beat is the end all/be all to Hip Hop production
3) Co-producers are ghost producers
The dumbest statements ever came from the Kanye interview where he said he ghost produced for D. Dot.
That isn't D. Dot hating. Do ya'll not realize Kanye making that statement hurt D. Dot's legacy. I be on here all the time trying to correct the narratives in regard to Hip Hop production because Kanye forever stained Hip Hop production when he made that statement.

Watch the interview. Even read my post in the other D. Dot thread. Kanye wasn't credited due to label politics not because D. Dot slapped his name on a record. They produced that song together.
No. D. Dot was actually in the studio with Nas making what we know today as "Poppa Was a Playa". Meaning, while Kanye made the original beat. It wasn't what we hear. Anything D. Dot may have added or took away to get the end result of what we hear is why he got a credit.
