Winslow developing into a 15-20ppg guy certainly gives us a chance, but him becoming that is unlikely(he can do it, but the odds are against him). Even if Justice becomes that good, we still need a host of teams to stay stagnant. Not too mention Philly could leap frog us, the Sixers can use their assets to get PG or Butler, and one of those guys with a healthy Embiid is scary.

Sorry breh, but this team is far away because of the fact it's built around Dragic, who is a good but not great player and he's turning 31 next month. The window for this team with him as the go to guy on offense is maybe 2 more years where he can play at this level, then you'll have to hope that Winslow / Waitiers / Johnson or Richardson can step in and fill that role which honestly doesn't seem likely.

The Wiz, Bucks and Celtics are all young teams who are right now on a similar level as the Heat while also having a lot more room for growth because their best players (Giannis, Middleton, Wall, Beal, Porter, Thomas etc) are under 30, or in the Celtics case they have other avenues to improve with lottery picks.

The Heat are in no man's land right now, sort of where the Hawks are where they have a competitive team but you look at the roster and nobody really jumps out at you.
We're not in no man's land I wish ya'll would stop saying that

Going 41-41 and missing the playoffs is the definition of no man's land in the NBA :francis: how is the roster that much different from the Hawks?

The Heat need more talent, finishing a season strong doesn't guarantee success the following year, see the Pistons for an example of that.

If this knicks-kristaps situation keeps getting worse, i'd be willing to unload anybody not named hassan. Only because the main reason I want kristaps is to see him and Hassan side by side. With them two guys and some solid role players we could do damage in the east. Hassan himself already gives the cavs fits. shyt is a pipe dream but fukk it. I still think we need that one guy who can go off for 30-40 on any given night.

We only played with 80% of our cap space and we were without our brightest young player for the season. Them other teams you named operated with all of their capspace. We'll be a top 4 seed next year anyone want in on this action :coffee:

Cap room for who though beloved? There aren't many PFs on the market, and any of the guys that make All-NBA are gonna get paid out the ass by their own teams. And some of that money is going to Waiters Island :wow:

I'll take that bet, I have Cleveland, Boston, Washington and Milwaukee being the 4 best record wise in the East next year.
