After listening to Ether, then a couple tracks later this came on, it felt harsh for some reason. I don't know how to describe it exactly. Just overkill.

Its like listening to an entire Death Certificate album then No Vaseline comes on.

I think I paused the album cause it was just too much.

The Nas I knew was kinder and gentler.

I remember folks talked about Nas' ad-libs on this track for 6 months straight.

This song was brutal. In some ways (smoothness, utter sardonic and condescending tone), this was better than Ether.
