Neva missin a beat
"Gotdamn I'm sweatin like a nikka at a white woman funeral"
Been yeeeeeeeeeears since I listened to this album
I fvcked with damn near every Street Knowledge/Cube release, and this album was outta control. Cube dropped this sh1t after Death Certificate and a couple months before the Predator. Post LA riots, and just a different state of mind of hip hop back then and it really reflected in the content of the music.
Cube had these cats mad than a muthafvcka on this album they sh1tted on George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Arsenio Hall, Madonna, The Beatles, Larry Bird, Rocky Marciano, Marylin Monroe, Bryant Gumble, Elvis, Liberace
All on one fvckin song...
GITM got all types of mainstream/radio play, was the #1 video on Yo MTV Raps, the album content was SERIOUS, these cats went in on dope dealers, dopefiend parents, the police, the government, jackers nobody was safe on this album
Would have liked to see J-Dee drop a solo but he got convicted of a murder not too long after the album dropped, currently still serving life I think.....Probably from one of the stories he was kickin on the album.
It was a long azz line in Musicland the day this album dropped and there was this old white lady in front of me, she had to be in her 60's or 70's, she pulled out a piece of paper and asked the cashier "Do you have "DA" Lenchmob with a "D" not a "T"......
Everybody that heard that sh1t started dyin.
Album was serious
