Could be laundering it but it's also a fukking Da Vinci (if you accept it's authenticity). Even if you're worth only 5 billion dollars, paying half a billy is nothing. Or maybe dude sees the end of the road as an oligarch and is cashing out?

Yeah, I mean if I had $5B and had a chance to buy a da Vinci I would probably go for it too.

Art is a great investment, anyway.

Supposedly this painting was found at an estate sale. Not really sure how...
It was sold originally for like 50 pounds. Then again for like 100k or something. Then it was restored, eventually sold for 130 million 4 years ago and now this.
