I usually don’t make threads but I need your help. No offense but, what are some spots that black folk go to around the city? My girl and I are downtown looking for something to do.

I don't live there anymore, but I don't ever recall downtown as poppin. but if ur in that area, try deep ellum. lots of shyt over there.

Yeah, downtown is pretty much business only. I can't really remember going much there for nightlife after turning 21.

I agree with Deep Ellum but I'm not sure about this time of day Lots of music and food to eat, drinks, the most walkable area you could go. Check out The Free Man if you and your lady are into jazz at all and want some cajun food

Downtown is a horrible place to stay. Go to north park mall then deep ellum around 6. There’s a restaurant that’s poppin with a lot of blacks called STIRR. Then walk around deep ellum
