Somehow you missed the point. :snoop:

Typically, someone who focuses many many many of their formative years to create a respectable medical career, are dedicated to excelling at that profession. For that same person to also be a rapper, is rare.
Typically that person would use social media to enhance their business, not their side rap career.

It is rare that you hear of someone that is brain surgeon and also juggling clown at the weekend carnival.

Can you honestly say you would prefer to send your child into surgery with a doctor that was also putting out mix tapes and breakdancing videos vs one that only focused on his medical profession only? Nothing is wrong in my view with him making his choices, but presentation matters.

:snoop:
Holds no water. There are many white bussiness and medical professionals out here with hobbies, chasing both dreams and cheddar. The current ceo of Goldman Sachs is an accomplished investment banker/ hedge fund manager who picked up DJ-ing in his 50s. He actively does b-grade edm shows in nyc and la. Does that stop white folk from throwing their money at him? Does that make him any less skilled at his craft?

There is a huge double standard here. Rap is an art form just like any other. Please don’t compare it being a clown. Sounds a like respectability politics

Blankfein isn't pulling up in the hood with G-Wagon's and trying to make nikkas sick on IG with diamonds in his chain. He's having fun, making music, and not trying to flex his wealth across social media. (I have many issues with Blankfein for being a capitalist culture - but that's divorced from his presentation)

The point is that: (1) he's making generic trap music; (2) he's stunting for attention.

That's what got him shot most likely.

Here's a doctor who also moonlights as a rapper:

That's how his practice grew dumb ass
He is more of a celebrity dentist
Rap is just a tool
Drop a song,do a show.. offer free or half off specials to strippers and fans
Social media and rap helped his business blow up
He's thinking about opening a new location in Houston

He probably stunted back when he was a nurse
He's been around a while without any incident
Group of masked men robbed and shot him
It's fukking Dallas..Erykah Badu can get got buying some incense

You cacs need to shut the fukk up

Breh why are you in your feelings it’s not that deep:russ:....

Whether his business grew because of the stuntin or not is irrelevant...

He should have known the rules to the game straight up...pull up to any hood stuntin with a fleet of foreign jeweld up and expect to not have that heat on you breh....smh that’s common sense especially if you from the hood....

Breh is to talented and intelligent for all this fukkery

Nice points on the unnecessary stunting. I concede that point. But I do have 2 things to add here.

A.) Your info may be a bit dated. You got the wrong guy. Blankfien hasn’t been ceo in 2 years. David Solomon is the current ceo of Goldman Sachs.

‘this guy.

‘who is also this guy

‘And this guy.......

(I admit it’s a cheap shot, but Id like to add that he isn’t mingling with high society in any of his DJ picks)

B.)
I think you are having a slightly different arguement than the one @VladTheImpaler was offering. And its similarly different from the counterpoint I am making.

Vlad was basically saying (he can correct me if I’m wrong here)

that because ABC professional spent years mastering XYZ craft,
  • their trustworthiness is in question when they engage in alternative activities that are unrelated to that profession.
  • and it’s implied in his original post that the quality of his craft decreases, because his attention is spread in different mediums. (hence the surgery part of it)

As a counter to his point, I noted a double standard between black and white communities in this regard. I cited a white professional with many many many more years spent honing his craft. A professional with many many more lives under his care. A professional who gets praise and is lauded by his community for being bohemian and for having diverse interests.

All of that does not make the current CEO of the biggest investment bank on earth ....
  • less trustworthy to his community
  • less skilled at his craft
  • nor stop him from receiving patronage from his community.

Finally, I concede that Dr.Rose’s stunting was unnecessary. But I’d also like to add that both you, @EndDomination, and Vlad were using the word “presentation” differently in your responses. Vlad’s use of the word “presentation” held derision and had some :mjpls:-vibes towards the art form of rap.

Your use of “presentation” seemed to imply a qualitative change within the field of rap as expressed by the other doctor you presented. Very wise of the other guy not to stunt. Am I on point here? Please correct me if I’m off base on this post

Breh the stunting is too blame..not rap
He could have had a YouTube channel, reality show or just social media marketing and still been a target
Dentist or not..he is a goofy nikka who loves to have fun

Rapping like Logic wouldn't have helped either
nikkas who stunt gonna find a way stunt

P.s it's weird news outlets ain't reporting any of this stuff
