Dame still on that Harlem mentality of always trying to cut out the connect :smugdraper:
I learned the quickly I had to cover my bases at all times to do business with Harlem cats and its cool to see dame ain't forget either:win:
Dame calling dudes out for not being real bosses since they aren't the ones putting the money up is golden bruhs:myman:
Dame admitting that when your a hustler you got to try to live by a code of Karma because you see how that shyt is real all the time:salute:

Dame should of be running a major label but the comp was scared what a real boss would do with all that power and had his own people clap him from close feet career wise. :ohhh:

Damon Dash was always a good business man but with an awful awful personality .....

kinda like Steve Jobs or Donald Trump......

Dames failure is his own doing. Nobody elses. Business is about relationships first and foremost. And thats where dame was the weakest. He had terrible relationship skills and burnt all his bridges. Contrary to popular belief Nobody ever makes it on their own. you dont get to jay or ditty status without help and making people believe in you. All of dames artists post rocafella left him for a reason. All his businesses failed for reason.

how can you be a boss if your existence is predicated on distribution? he can talk all that fly shyt, it sounds very convincing, but whether with his clothing or his label or whatever, some french men control your demographics, you comply to them. just cause you kick in a couple of your profit dollars for the day to day op doesn't mean you really call the shots, if the distributor pulls out you up the creek without a paddle. the subdistributor is the built-in Connect in a sense. the internet, not so much anymore, makes the the concept of distribution logistics less necessary but only for certain endeavors, little mom and pop type shyt. on the level Dame wants to play he can never and has never been a boss because the success or failure of the operation isn't solely in his hands, that is what makes a boss. but cool story bro.

cutting the connect. and that's why deep down once Dame got passed the emotion, he really can't be mad at Jay. Game recognize game. Jay didn't need him anymore. it was Dame's responsibility to figure out a way to be needed if he wanted to stay in that situation. the game is cold.
