Dame Dash is sharing his unfiltered thoughts on Charlamagne Tha God’s reported $200 million deal with iHeartMedia… and he’s taking some of the credit.

During an appearance on POV, Dash reacted to news that Charlamagne will remain on The Breakfast Club while expanding his Black Effect podcast network.

Dash believes that podcasts are now the future of radio. “The voice of our culture needs to be heard, and we do have the attention span,” he said. He then linked Charlamagne’s deal to what he believes is a recurring theme in his own career.

“Can you name someone that I’ve had problems with that’s not corporately backed?” Dash asked. “It seems like as soon as someone’s beefing with me, they get rewarded.”

He says it is all a part of a “humiliation ritual,” claiming that attacking him leads to corporate success. Dash also questioned the ownership behind the Black Effect Podcast Network.

“What’s misleading about the Charlamagne situation,” he said, “it’s called Black Effect but it’s owned by white people half.”

Maybe my concept of "humilation ritual" is off but I thought it meant humilating yourself to get something, not having someone else make an ass of themselves and then you benefit.

I think he meant the culture as a whole.

Given a clown like Charlamagne 200 million is basically giving the incentive to push clown sh1t forward. Gossiping and RocNation d1ck riding that is all Charlamagne is known for and they reward that to spite the culture. There goes authentic hiphop journalism and media representation. It will now be open waves for goofy degenerate sh1t. In my humble opinion.

Of all the hiphop journalist and personalities ie. Sway and etc. Charlamagne secures the biggest bag!? This is Sexxy Redd levels of humiliating the culture.

At this point Dame is like a trump from temu, just saying anything to make him look nice and his 7-800 Stans eat up every single wild thing he says. Even contradictory shyt. Or have an interpretation that makes sense but is far from what he said.

He thinks the whole media world and liquor business etc. got together, decades after his relevance was lost, to invest 100s of million even a billion in a few black men. Strictly to make him mad :mjlol:

And I saw some brain dead dame Stan on the Coli say “he has a point”

Nothing has been authentic in mainstream Hip Hop in over 30 years. Once appealing to white folks and getting their approval and putting more money in their pockets and attacking and literally killing each other became the overriding message, authenticity was done. And Dame himself had a hand in that. Mr. "I dont talk about other men" has spent the last decade primarily talking shyt about other men.

@Elim Garak

Thanks for the clip I cant quote you for some reason but Dame is sort of right he did start that visible hiphop "Podcasting like thing" very early him and Joe Buddens and Prodigy RIP. They were very into being out there with the fans and the people via video and footages. I feel he has some solid points and the bigger picture is concerning.

Charlamagne said it best, when you were gettin “corporate” checks in 2002 it was all good, but when other black men are getting that bag it has to be some conspiracy against you 😂😂😂

Bro you’re not important at all. You’re viewed as a clown.

Interesting. His gleem has fallen off some levels but I still believe they have Dame blackballed and fighting with one arm.

He has no actual talent. His talent is being loud and standing next to the people who have talent. Nobody is “blackballing” shyt. He never had “solid points”.

Thats where his ego goes overboard but the highlighted is the truth. You think this degeneracy would exist in hiphop with more black ownership and vanguards. It's only a few islands in hiphop eating. Nipsey called it out RIP.

Power bars.

Interscope template. Just pay media outlets and personalities to boost your product ie. artist. The bigger the bank the bigger the reach.

It's all seeded. Charlamagne is a goof that fits the bill of appealing to white folks regardless of his dignity or integrity he is about self-expansion. Too many in the industry just care about petty cash and cheap clout.
