That could easily be turned around and I could say without the artist, Vlad site wouldn't be popular. His major come up as a mixtape dj was a 2Pac mixtape and his come up for his site was the exclusive Ransom video. In a video Ransom half jokingly said that Vlad needed to cut the check for that. My point is without artist content HE'S NOTHING! Youtube pays users, he's even one of them who gets paid for youtube, why not pay the people who help you? What if Vlad puts a artist up and he breaks a song? God forbid he puts up a song simply because he likes it or thinks that the artist is hot (pause). Why is it wrong to say it shouldn't be about the money all of the time it should be about the music?

I also wanted to address a point that was made earlier. It was said only big names get paid for interviews. Someone recently posted a video of Dark Lo out of Philly throwing a interviewer out and it was mentioned in the interview itself that he was paid for interview. Dark isn't a major artist by any means. So if a mom and pops interviewer can pay him for a interview, then surely Vlad can.

I think Vlad's interviews are great but Dame is right on this one imo. If it's true Vlad tried to get him blackballed with Complex, then that's some sucker ish and he needs to repent.

the difference between vlad and say a worldstar is a lot of vlad's content is exclusive content. meaning vladtv conducts and films the interview then edits, and uploads it, etc. so vlad is compensated for his work via ad revenue depending on how popular the artist is and how much viewers their interviews can attract. And in turn the artist is promoting their brand and any upcoming projects because vladtv in and of itself has a following.

it's no different than a musician or an actor that needs to promote an upcoming project making their rounds on late night talk shows. You think conan obrien show is going to pay kevin hart to appear on their show? hell no. But kevin knows he needs to appear on their show to promote his projects and the conan obrien show is compensated for all their work via ad revenue. it's all business man.
