10 seasons in the league. He hasn't been able to break through because frankly, he's not as good as Curry (and Portland isn't as good a franchise as Golden State) and when GS slipped, he wasn't able to capitalize on it and saw the Lakers steal a title.
Realistically what do people want the Trail Blazers to do? They're not going to attract a big time free agent, they apparently can't tank or it's a "betrayal" or "rebuild' to Lillard, and they haven't drafted well with their mid/late round picks (since 2015: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Justin Jackson, Harry Giles, Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little, Isaiah Stewart -- who was traded for Robert Covington).
Lillard will be 32 in July coming off injury.
Why NOT blow that whole thing up if you're Portland?
