I think these debates are just nonsense. they are an apples and oranges debate.

They are 2 different groups. its like debating GOAT between Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. 2 different lanes

my preference is Mint. Guy was great.

I like Blackstreet first album more than Guys. just my preference

lets chill >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>any mint song

"Breakin My Heart" levels this up easy.

Guy has more iconic songs, but Mint Condition catalog is super deep and consistent. Mint condition is more versatile, has better musicianship and we not even gonna bother comparing vocalists.

Honestly, just depends on the mood. They really only intersect. Other than the ballads they kind of operate in totally different tempos.

Guy has 3 albums. 2 are classics though. Mint condition has 9 albumcs, with at least 3 classic and one that should be considered a classic, but most people haven't heard it after they went the indie route (7).

Ehhh, he's right.

Both are legendary groups.

But Guy had way more classics tracks. Mint Condition was more talented as a collective because they were a band and actually played live. But as far as song for song, Guy had a lot more iconic and impactful records. In NYC, whole summers were dictated by whatever new Guy joint just dropped. You couldn't go anywhere without hearing some new sh*t Teddy just did. So I agree with Damion on this one.
