Did they ship enough consoles? I do feel Japan is a lost market because no way they're going to drop PC, PS5, or switch for a xbox. It's why I think there's no way Sega or other Japanese publishers sell to Microsoft unless they overpay

If they really were just down on their luck and wanted to wash their hands of it and retire i could see but any japanese publisher that sells to Microsoft is esssentially dooming their business.
