I think 10 wouldn’t have been enough to tell the story in the way we wanted to. So any number over 10 and under 20 was gonna be good in my book.

When we worked in the writers’ room on it, we called them 401-407 and 501-507…

Eh... It's still one of the most well written involved shows. I don't mind intelligent filler, I just hate Power-esque silly filler. Understood, tho

successful shows have been doing this. when they hit the final season, they divide the episodes in 2 and milk it for 2 seasons. See examples below:
