I wonder if his departure was the result of some sort of dispute between him and Take Two. From what I heard him and his brother wanted to make more single player content for GTA V but Take Two convinced them into focusing more on multiplayer instead. I’m guessing that he didn’t like the direction the company was heading in. Hopefully this doesn’t impact the development of GTA VI and Bully 2.

Leslie Benzies was a dev (involved with GTAIII to GTAV) at Rockstar. He got into a lawsuit with the parent company Take-Two for unpaid royalties.

Benz was president of Rockstar North who was partly responsible for making the GTA series so successful ( He convinced Dan and Sam Houser to make Vice City a full game instead of a expansion pack for GTA 3) in 2016 he was forced out of the company and he has since started his own gaming company and filled a lawsuit against Take Two for over 150 million dollars in unpaid royalties.
