I'm still hella interested in seeing a pure boxer transition into MMA

Would take dude at least 6 months to learn decent takedown defense then another 6 to learn Muay Thai / kickboxing.

If he goes into a match with less than a year of training he's prey.

Most likely a :duck: for one AJ is a star but he aint a star like that to warrant that kind of money or for dana to pursue him "for MMA". If this is how they choose to break into boxing thats another matter.

But if this were real i would actually prefer this for AJ as its safer. I dread what hes going to sound like in a couple years. Never seen a next big thing that takes such a beating from fighters he should roll over

Joshua cardio gonna get exposed in MMA
:why:
It already got exposed in boxing and I heard from pretty much everywhere so far that you need better stamina for boxing.

And I think you guys got it wrong. Dana White would sign Joshua as a boxer because he wants to venture into boxing and wants to make noise, not as an MMA fighter. So UFC/Zuffa or whatever promotions but not in MMA.

Also, AJ already said he’s still rocking with Matchroom so it probably won’t even happen.
