Pitt owners are worse than the dogs, tbh. fukks act like those dumb, delusional mothers with bad ass undisciplined kids.

As a dog trainer, I know pits are way sweeter than people realize. Unfortunately so many of them take on the goonish qualities of their owners.

I've had a Cane Corso, and a couple Rottweilers growing up. They were all sweeties. A pitbull is on my wishlist.
Any large/powerful dog owner needs to know how to train them and should start trainin them as early as possible.

If you can afford dog daycamp to socialize them, it makes a big difference.
And be mindful of how you can manipulate physical pressure and the tone of your voice to get a desired response.

Just treat them as a puppy as you would when theyre full grown . Don't let them bite or play fight with people because they will still think that it is ok when they are older. Instead use chew toys.
Socialize them with people and other dogs early if you want them to be friendly. Dog parks are great just make sure he/she has all their shots first.
My mom would put her hand in their food bowl or handfeed them. Because some dogs will growl or snap at you if you get too close to their food which is an aggressive action.
You are the pack leader. They have to respect you otherwise they will try to maintain dominance over you.
There's no need to ever hit your dog. It's all about positive and negative reinforcement. If they do something good, give them a treat or praise. When they do something wrong, shout "NO!". Give them a time out, either in their cage or a designated spot. Make them laydown. Eventually, you won't even have to say anything and they'll run over there when they know they're in trouble.
Dogs acts just like big kids sometimes. But you have to keep the message clear. Don't laugh or joke around if your reprimanding them because they'll think its a game.

however, we have my sister in law's dog visiting for the next couple days cuz she is out of town for her medical school interview, and here's her dog she adopted a few years ago. we have no idea what kinda mutt this is (she always says he's some kinda corgi
), but he appears to be some kinda pit bull mutt. like if I walk him outside, people will be scared, but when you meet him, he's really a soft beyotch

I would be fine with a shepherd or something middle of the line and kid friendly.
But at the same time I don't wanna be that one nikka walking around with a fluffy dog while everyone else has pits and rottweilers
