When it comes to story telling the fact that WWE didn't have that fan moment pop for when Bryan came out is hard to comprehend...its like if Star Wars decided not to have Luke Skywalker have his moment with Darth Vader in the Empire Strikes Back and instead randomly ended the movie with Chewbacca defeating some creature that had nothing to do with the movie

There was no real surprise or moment of intrigue other than Roman Reigns having his face turn and the Rumble possibly being his moment of victory...

from a story telling perspective how do you ignore the clear main character the audience is rooting for it doesn't even make business sense...you can keep screwing the guy until Mania where he defeats the odds but to not even have him remotely barely involved in the PPV is mind boggling

That's what I'm saying. We stil probably would've booed Tista but it wouldnt have been has bad if the E would have at least gave us the chance to see Bryan have a hot moment in the rumble, eliminating a few guys and hitting some running knees/kicks in the process.

Another thing is, WWE wouldn't have gotten that sour reaction towards bytchtista had his return been a suprise during the Rumble match. People love suprises and would've been glad with seeing something they didn't expect. A return the week before the show, and a declaration that he was back to win the title all but gave away what was going to happen

Yep.

They also shouldn't have booked Batista before the Rumble either. If he was a "surprise" (even though most people in the building would've know by that point that he was coming back) at n°30, I don't think he would've been booed.

yeah, him showing up on Raw with them skinny jeans and puffy botox cheeks looking :flabbynsick: with that jacknife powerbomb ruined his momentum

WWE fukked up but still overall, good enough ppv for the fukkery era

but again they were worrying about ppv buys thinking that if fans knew Batista was back it would generate more buys for the rumble ...instead of creating cool storyline moments and surprises with Batista and Bryan entering the rumble

I still can't get over how genius Tommy Dreamer's idea of Bryan coming in as rey mysterio and winning the rumble would have been...he probably would have needed to cover all his extremities and shaved his beard because he's pale as shyt for it to work but it would have been genius

Considering what Batista's comeback was on Raw...they wasted a huge opportunity..the crowd wouldnt have been nearly as hostile if that was a legit surprise.

I also don't think D-Bry can pull off the moves as crisp as Rey does. Crowd would've known something was up from the get go to be honest. Not saying it wouldn't have been a huge moment when Bryan unmasked but why not do it with Sin Cara? Crowd would've been fukking PISSED at SC getting that 30th spot instead of Bryan. And watching him eliminating people and then actually winning would've make the place go :what: :wtf: ....:ohhh: then DB unmasks and the place goes bananas.

hell, i dont see why Daniel Bryan just didnt come in from the crowd after #30 entry and beat down a few superstars then the security runs into the ring and chases him out the arena while the crowd popped on some Matt Hardy shyt from 2005
