Even with a stadium that is only 17 years old, Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder says the organization has already begun meeting with architectural firms to design a new stadium for the team.
Although unknown whether the location of a new stadium would be in D.C., Maryland or Virginia, Snyder says in an interview with CSN Washington that they have “started the process.”
He says that plans for a new stadium would try to bring back memories of RFK Stadium, which opened in Southeast D.C. in 1961, and was where the Redskins played until 1996 before the team moved to Fedex Field in Maryland.
