If the Celtics trade Rondo they are going to want picks or players on rookie deals who they can control for a few years before signing. If they were going to go after a rookie about to be paid it sure wouldn't be Shumpert.

No. Boston isn't trading Rondo. Honestly at this point going forward they'd be stupid to.
They can give there 2020 pick too

Im not gonna pretend that i know what Danny is gonna do, but the shyt is gonna be great whatever he does, he is smarter than we are. People say Rondo is this or that, but GM's want that mutha fukka, and he can flip Rondo for more than ujiri got for Gay if he wants to move him, remember Ainge loves Rondo.

They won't be stuck in mediocrity, they've got countless picks that have no bearing of what their record is. It's all dependent on other teams. Ainge has put the Celtics in a better position than what the Raptors are in. Boston is in a better position than 99% of teams in the league (for the future).
Boston is already a 4th seed at the moment.

There's no point in Boston trading Rondo, his peak value on the market maxed out in 2011 (?) playoffs. His stock will never be that high again.

Why would we Do that trade? For the sake of helping Indy? We not trading Rondo in any deal that doesn't bring picks back. If we do trade Rondo and we dont get picks, we getting expiring contracts and the other team gonna have to get Gerald Wallace back Breh.
