Sources close to the information have informed us that WBC & WBA jr. welterweight champion Danny Garcia has agreed to terms to face top jr. welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse. According to our sources, the bout will take place on the undercard of the highly-anticipated September 14 showdown between undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather and undefeated jr. middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. "Danny Garcia was adamant about getting the fight done, so it got done," one source commented.

I think they saw alot of ppl initially mad at the $75 HD price tag for the PPV, so they knew figured if they added another superfight, it would justify the price increase in buyers minds. Also, the winner of Matthysse-Garcia will most likey be Floyds next opponent if he beats Canelo.

Yea it makes sense. It's a card to me that appeals to the Boxing fan and Casual fan (which is a Network's dream scenario).

Then Team Matthysse on Sunday said its on for Sept 14
Now we got another report that Garcia agreed to the fight
