"Dante's Peak" vs "Volcano"

Summer 97 disaster movies. Which was the better?
I got Dante's Peak easily. Though Volcano had more unintentionally hilarious moments

Dante's Peak. This was Prime Brosnan. The pyroclastic flow was very realistic. I get it was for the story, but the kids traveling up the mountain to save their grandma was fukking stupid.

Volcano is a great watch, but I felt the 2nd half of the movie leading to the happy ending just not my thing.

With a Volcano, Dante's Peak doesn't have a happy ending, just a bittersweet that shows Nature wins.

Dantes Peak, as a kid I thought the part where Pierce Brosnan's arm bone sticking out of his skin was so hardcore.

I barely remember Volcano

Dantes Peak by miles. Yo when the old lady jumped in the acid lake and it showed her legs. Or when the dead bodies ofthe skinny dipping couple were found when the kids boutto jump in. Movie was intense as hell and holds up well.
