(AllHipHop News) Darlene M. Ortiz becomes the latest former girlfriend of a member of the rap community to pen a tell-all book. Ortiz at one time dated rapper/actor Ice-T. The professional fitness instructor revealed the news of her forthcoming memoir on Facebook.

Ortiz wrote:

"I want to first give a huge thank you to Over The Edge Books for wanting to publish my book (POWER: A True Hip Love Story…My Life With Ice T), I am very excited to be able to share this unique part of Hip Hop History with the world, its been along time coming. I Also want to thank those close to me, that have been holding me down and having my back during the last few years, these have been some pretty tough times for me and I definitely couldn’t have and pretty much still cant with out your support, so I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and to no end. Last but most definitely of the utmost importance, I want to THANK YOU, the person reading this for giving me your time and showing your interest in me, I am grateful, humble and blessed beyond any words. I live everyday in honor of those that have left this world and I promise to not let you down (Dad, Grandpa,Teena Marie, John Atterberry,Mija and many more). Now, lets live life to the fullest or in my case continue too."

Ortiz and Ice reportedly met during the filming of Breakin’ in 1984. The couple eventually had one child together. Ortiz became immortalized in Hip Hop circles when she graced the respective covers of the Ice-T albums Rhyme Pays and Power.

Bobby is a mess, he has some insightful views but he tends to derail shyt and tries to talk over people. Darlene is to Corey what Kenji was to Speedy, she's sexy, nice, long winded but fits right into the show.
