Yeah, he also said a lot of the songs didn't sound that good before they had him overdubbing and mixing (which I believe).

He actually had it replayed by session musicians and it sounds better instrumentation wise than what is on the fukking original record. In fact, Debarge would sound better using that backing track,imo . One of the rare times that you can say that. But that's how you know you have a hell of a ear.
