Dating someone smarter than you?

My last 2 were more educated, but I was quicker witted and had better understanding of things, so I'm not even sure who the smarter one was 
There are women that have known more about certain things than I have and vice versa but not really one smarter than the other.
But I've also never had a serious conversation longer than I needed to with someone who I thought was dumb.

Never dated someone smarter than me. Ex from college was close tho.
I am definitely more intelligent than my wife but that's not a bad thing. What she may be lacking in that area she more than makes up for in other areas where I am severely lacking. We balance each other out extremely well in that sense.
I'm honest with myself so it wasn't a problem. She got slick many a time though, to the point where I wanted to throw hands.
Is that a conscious decision?

Nah I'm a pretty smart dude. I can probably count on two hands the # of people Ive met in life that I immediately felt were smarter than me. Only 2 of them were women, and one of them is my mother.
The ex from college, I met in engineering classes. Smart girl. Very beautiful too.
I have dated all over the board on this. I very much prefer on par with me, or someone I consider smarter. I need someone to keep up, and/or to challenge me.
