I've done this in the past and these short lived relationships didn't go anywhere. I'm getting older and I feel like I might be missing out on some cool down to earth women by not looking at them as potential partners. But it's hard for me to look past looks. Have you guys dated women you aren't attracted to? Do you think it's worth putting forth the effort?

I don't think you should date someone you're not attracted to. You're going to have to wake up to that ugly mofo for an undetermined amount of time. Not saying she needs to be a "dime" but you should definitely feel some sort of attraction.

I've met women that would damn near break their backs for me and we were not in any kind of relationship. They were trying to win me but I wouldn't shoot at them because there was no physical attraction. Now that I'm thinking about it they could have treated a brother real good. But the looks department is hard to look past.

Not every girl has to be a 10 (or even a 7, 8 or 9...), but if I don't have some level of physical attraction for them, I have no interest.

Only women can do this ... thinking about security and whatnot I have yet to see a man who's with a woman that he has 0 attraction to ... there's a reason you don't see 60 year old women with 20 year old men but you can find 20 year old women with 60 year old men.

I've never done it and couldn't do it No matter how good a woman's personality would be I could not consider them an option if they didn't look attractive to me. Appearance and personality matter equally to me so I can't ignore one side. It all depends on how much appearance matters to you though.
