Ahh yes, the good ole days of quirky crack addicts and black tolders selling drugs on the corner at all hours of the night.
nikkas expose themselves when they start getting all nostalgic about Dave's older material when he says some real shyt in the now.
He decided this was about more than jokes and entertaining people clamoring for borderline c00n shyt when he didn't take the money.
Not only that, he's doing storytelling with layers intertwined with jokes and history, which may not be traditional stand up but something hardly anybody else can do at that level

And the thing is, they are gonna CHANGE it to suit their image. The numbers are on their side, plus they got youth along the support. While the believers of the old ways, are gradually dwindling in population size. I’ve always said That Charlie Murphy and Donnell Rawlings gave Chappelle the street cred he coveted. I say this as someone who loves Chappelle’s work but deep down, his values have always aligned more with conservative white republicans. My post is about Chappelle’s approach to this whole situation. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but the lack of diplomacy he showed towards those ‘teenagers’, further solidifies his character (or lack of it rather).
I guess he truly sees himself as some kind of maverick now despite him saying himself many times “I don’t know. I don’t know.” I don’t think he even truly knows what he’s crusading for at this point. All I know is, when alt-right CACs views align with a black person’s, that tells me all I need to know.

You know the sad thing? These kids probably don't even know his work very well. My family and I were stunned this holiday when I found out none of my teen/YA cuzzos knew ANYTHING about him. Cut to me and my older cuzzos forcing these poor kids to sit through a number of Chappelle skits...brehs. They barely laughed! Not at the racial draft, not Clayton Bigsby, World Series of Dice...a few dry chuckles for Prince and Rick James, that's it. One of them did express surprise that something like this could be made so long ago, but that was about it. I don't know what these young kids consider comedy nowadays, but it seems like Chappelle falls under the flabby column...and so do I.
I do think Chappelle is one of the GOATs - maybe even better than Chris Rock (very MJ vs LBJ territory here). That's why I hate to see him go out like this period to say that he is better and richer than any of them? You're supposed to be, you idiot! You're damn near FIFTY! I never, EVER thought Dave could be this lame, but here we are.
