nope, that's not it. I was listening to southern rap before many of you illiterate nikkas were born. For example, let's examine a year like 95. I was listening to Wu, G rap, Jr Mafia, Mobb Deep, and Biggie from the east. Bone, Common, Breed, DFC, from the midwest. Death Row, Cube, Mack 10, WC(Before they all released the Westside Connecton album the next year), Kausion, Domino from the west. Scarface, 8 ball mjg, South Circle(with Mr Mike), UGK, Outkast, Goodie Mobb from the south. So no, it has nothing to do with "miracle lyrical rap". I'm from the south. Born and grew up here. Now I will not deny that a lot of NY cats shunned the south when they were on top(outkast at the source awards is the most famous example) but Master P really fukked up the game when he started grabbing people off the street and putting them in the studio knowing they were wack as fukk. And when it started selling and everyone started supporting it, it was the beginning of the end. Around the same time, NY was supporting another wack mf by the name of Puff Daddy when they knew he was trash.

So with me and many others, it has nothing to do with a region, it has a lot to do with good and bad. Because NY had wack rappers too. still do. The funny thing about people that claim everyone is hating on the south, I get in my a$$hole mode then I start asking them about great southern artists and southern albums that are universially accepted and they've never heard of. So if you a nikka talking about someone "hating on the south' and you've never listened to one Geto boys or Scarface album. Don't know who any of 36 Mafia are outside of Juicy J, can't name any dungeon family members other than Cee lo or Andre, and don't know what the hell a Suave House or Rap a Lot is, you're lost and an embarrassment to yourself talking about "hating" when you dont even know the culture u supposedly represent.
