    Thanks for this, I remember when I was on my pan African shyt I hated Douglas. Its crazy now, I agree with most of his view points. What a crazy life this man had.

    Great post. I enjoyed the discussion. I particularly liked towards the end during the Q&A and Ta-Nehisi Coates talks about how when these different points in history are mentioned people like to remark how during those times people didn't know any better or that was just the culture then. In reality many people did know it was wrong and talked about it extensively during those times but certain folks like to ignore them as an excuse.
